Love the idea... something like this is great! Would love to see something like it attached to the upload page for wallpapers that would tell you if the wallpaper you are uploading meets the dA requirements and reject it for that category if it doesn't... hehehehehe
That's looks nice, bro, but what for it is? To calculate my monitor's resolution? If I put there a 16:10 ratio it will calculate the resolutions for that ratio?
It can instantly provide you a list of resolutions, based on your input. First you'd input the Ratio you wanted, like 4:3, 16:9, 16:10, etc... THEN it would spit out all of the resolutions that are known for the given ratio. OR you could also input one dimension (Height or Width) and the Ratio, and it would tell you what the other side had to be. And so on... It would be programmed to have the more "common" resolutions be in bold. This would help voters and GM's decide if something is eligible. It would also help suggesters see if it is compliant. Most importantly it would help artists, learn what the proper resolutions are, more!
Wow, that's very nice and I think it will be useful. Also auto-updated with the new resolutions feature would be very nice! Sometimes, when I need to add some new resolution (not often, but when some new gadget or monitor is realized) I have to visit their homepage and read specs for that device. So, it would be nice to have such application!
Well, I'm currently working on a revamp to a few of the Wallpaper FAQ's. One of the things I'm proposing to do, is to eliminate "specific" resolutions, and make it simpler.
New Proposed Rule = Minimum Resolution, then MUST adhere to aspect ratio. Can be any dimensions conceivable as long as it is at LEAST a certain size and fits completely within an approved/Standard ratio.
